Byrd’s Barham is short on verbiage, long on runs

If you look up Charlie Barham’s name in Webster’s Dictionary, it likely has “reticent” as the description.
The Byrd fullback can run like a lumbering speedster, but he’s yet to develop the gift of gab with the media. And that’s probably just fine with the Yellow Jacket faithful, who saw their favorite team roll past Calvary 35-8 Thursday despite Barham sitting on the bench for all but the first series of the second half.
After the first half he turned in, he probably should get Friday off, although he wasn’t taking any free days.
“I have a physics test tomorrow,” said Barham, who rushed for 230 yards and four touchdowns in just over a half of action.”
Barham’s running through the center of the Calvary defense was due to the beef the Jackets have up front in guys like Trey Lester, Adam Ward, Max Yerger and Nick Erwin. He often ran through holes on top of holes.
