It should come as no surprise Parkway’s three biggest offensive stars couldn’t be kept down for long.

Justin Rogers took his first snap and connected with Terrace Marshall for the first time in two weeks to begin another impressive highlight reel for the two talented juniors Thursday night. Senior running back Robert McKnight made some significant contributions as well to carry the Panthers (4-1, 1-1 District 1-5A) over a hardworking but overmatched Byrd (0-5, 0-20 team 40-16 at Lee Hedges Stadium.

“At times we brought them pretty well and we were able to make some plays,” Parkway coach David Feaster said. “It was enough to beat a good team and obviously Byrd is not where they used to be, but I thought they were better than they were last week.”

The Yellow Jackets weren’t the first and certainly won’t be the last to struggle to contain the Panthers’ dynamic trio, who combined for five of Parkway’s six touchdowns. Justin Rogers went over 300 yards passing again with more than half of it to Marshall, and McKnight totaled more than 120 yards with two touchdowns.
