Position:Head Coach




Michelle Adamson enters into her 2nd season as the head coach of the Lady Jacket volleyball program. 

Coach Adamson is a graduate of Broken Arrow High School in Oklahoma where she was a standout soccer player, helping her team to its first state championship. Coach Adamson took her soccer skills to the next level at Erskine College in South Caroline where she was named to the NAIA All American Team as a freshman.  After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Natural Science with a minor in Physical Education, she returned to Oklahoma where she then received her Masters in Sports Administration from the University of Tulsa.  Upon the completion of her Masters, Coach Adamson coached soccer in the Tulsa area from 1997 to 2001.  From 2001-2006, she was the head soccer coach at Edison where in 2004, she was named the head volleyball coach as well.  Coach Adamson was named the Large East All State Volleyball Coach for 2006-2007.  She served as interim athletic director of both Edison Middle and High Schools in 2006 and was given the position in 2007 where she remained until joining Byrd in 2012.  Not only does Coach Adamson lead the volleyball program but she also contributes in the classroom as well by teaching Enriched and AP Chemistry.With 14 returning players, 6 of those being on varsity and many talented, new players joining the freshman and JV squads, this year (as well as many years to come) is shaping up to be an exciting time for the C E Byrd volleyball program. 

Michelle and her husband Bobby have to boys, 14 year old Cory and 15 year old Ray.
